I already get the feeling that the Labour leadership in Wales are throwing their toys out of the pram. Instead of accepting their own culpability for the current state of affairs, they are trying to create this impression that the other parties are ganging up on them.
It’s no good for Rhodri Morgan to go running to the BBC to ask that a poll be commissioned to decide who runs Wales. The reality of the situation is that unless he comes up with the goods and produces a deal Plaid can’t turn down, Labour will be in opposition. Playing the victim just won’t wash.
Political boffin, keen fisherman looking forward to retirement.

Rhodri's biggest mistkse was pandering to the so-called "unionist" wing of the party me thinks, instead of going to Plaid Cymru and offering up a progressive, socialist and devoluntionist (I can't spell) programme to which a basis of a formal Plaid-Labour coalition could have been formed (although obvisiouly still talking to the Lib Dems, incase Plaid fell through)
However he did not do that, and now he is paying the price for it.
Geraint, i think you might be right. Perhaps I've been a bit harsh on Rhodri. He's being stitched up by members of his own party.
In terms of a progressive red-green programme I would be with you all the way. At least we'll know by 2pm whats on offer.
